As I read from cdrdao's README
HP CD-Writer+ 7200 3.01 generic-mmc-raw
So you should be able to use it with the mmc-raw driver. cdrecord does not
still have an mmc-raw driver so it's likely you cannot use this drive with
it. The drive won't support the dao writing mode.
Anyway a complete error report is needed to track the problem down.
