I am using cdrecord 1.11a12 on a RedHat Linux 7.2
machine with kernel version 2.4.7-10. I have a Dell
Dimension XPS T450 (Pentium 3@450) with 384 MB of RAM.
I am trying to burn on an HP8200i drive.

I was able to successfully burn before I installed the
new version of RedHat. I am not sure if it is the
kernel or the setup. I CAN burn TAO, but not DAO. I
get the same error (see below) regardless of the speed
I burn at.

Here is the output from cdrecord:

# cdrecord -dao -pad -v -dummy -speed=4 *.wav

As you can see I am getting an "invalid mode for this
track" error. I have searched high and low on the web
and the deja newsgroups and have not found a solution
to this problem. I am sure I am probably overlooking
something very simple but I have gone over this stuff
several times and am at a dead end. Oh, FWIW, I can
burn okay with this hardware in windows (and as I said
it worked before with an older version of RedHat) so I
know the HW is okay.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time,
James Shamas
