The TEAC DV-W50E is a Pioneer A05 with only the inquiry string changed.
As the A05 is known to work perfectly with cdrecord, I have no idea
what problems you have.

The error message you show us here is not very readable, cdrecord would
in such a case write a readble message "invalid address for write" and
add the hint that this is a buffer underrun. 

If you read the README in ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/cdrecord/ProDVD/ you see
that you need to make sure that you have enough throughput on your system
or use burnfree......
