Some Linux distributions start to include a tool called "dvdrecord" but this
tool is bad, unmaintined and even illegal because it ignores the GPL
(see GPL � 2 subclause c) and GPL Preamble, subsection 6)

Well, I have no right to request you to keep the link, but if you mention
cdrecord at all, please be correct and mention that it supports CD/DVD-/DVD+
I even believe that the way cdrecord implementes DVD+ support is easier to use
than the way it is implemented by DVD+RW Tools.
Also note: there is only one cdrecord source tree!
Parts of the complete cdrecord source are made available for the GPLd version.
So my statement that cdrecord supports all media in question is correct.
If you only take the OSS parts into account, this is a partial view on cdrecord.
