can you provide more details please? I wonder how do you handle 20-30 serial
ports and on/off feature remotely. I'm interested in both HW/SW as I plan
creation of some kind of automated CI system for kernel/rootfs images for
several devices. Thanks.

I have used the OpenGear (www.opengear.com) console servers for this.
From 1 to 48 ports in a single networked unit. As well as the consoles
they have add ons for power control. All the hardware runs Linux.
