Right on Stewart.
When you have a deterrent through punishment system rather than a
supportive mechanism for problem resolution and prevention, people tend
to do harsher acts because the risk and punishment justify it.
Most crime can be adverted with social interaction, good family and
healthy outlets... A big blame needs to be placed on families,
communities, schools and our overall society... People are nothing
more than a collection of other people's ideas, knowledge, etc.
I think we should raise taxes in crime ridden areas, is sure would
drive people from the area of crime.... bound to give a healthy mix
maybe.
