That president thread in CF-Talk reminded me of something I heard ages ago. A friend of mine, in his freshman Comp Sci year in Dublin Ireland, told me a story of two classmates. The first was this clueless girl who knew nothing about computers and the other was this guy was helping her out with labs etc. Anyway he knew all her passwords and thought it would be funny to send an email death threat to Clinton (~1994/5). Of course who arrives the next day but the police aiding two FBI agents! So they grill her a while, she maintains she knew nothing about it. The guy eventually fesses up to say it was just a prank. The net result was both of them were blacklisted ! Bearing in mind this was in a foreign country and we're not even members of NATO.
