Again it really depends on how you word the questions. If the pollster has an agenda, then the poll invariably reflects their agenda (either pro or anti). However when a neutral party does the poll and uses a neutrally worded question, the percentages are about 65% in favour of gay marriage of some sort.

Monique, are you in favour of restricting the civil rights of a group based on a biological difference, be it colour or a genetic difference?

This is not a loaded question, this issue has been debated quite a few times before on the list.

Do a search on what I've found about the physiological basis of homosexuality. Briefly put when I did a PubMed search on the physiological basis of homosexuality I found over 600 articles from peer reviewed scientific journals that examined the issue. The vast majority (over 85% of the articles) found very credible support to the hypothesis that homosexuality has a physiological basis.

In other words a person cannot help being gay than you can help being a woman or black.

Are you willing to deny equal protection under the law (which is guarenteed by the Constitution) due to a physiological difference?

Think about it. Think about the implications of denying these individuals their civil rights on the basis of this difference.
