Thanks Erika....

I needed to make sure I'm not the wrong one in this case, and that someone
agrees with me :)  SKU's are supposed to be unique.  I found multiple
articles to substantiate my claims that they are ones heading down a dark
path with no light at the end of the tunnel.  What I think happened, and
they won't tell me if this is the case, but I think the retail catalog SKU's
that they mailed out were already created without consulting the web side of
things prior.  Now they're scrambling to make fixes and quick to point
fingers.

Some days I love what I do...then others days can be just pure hell...

Thanks,

Matt

Subject: RE: Inventory SKU Issues

>From my experience with retail - if it's a different item - it needs a
separate SKU. The reason different colors have separate SKU's is so
retailers can keep track of which colors sell better - and to be able to
re-order when low.

Personally - I think your client is wrong - and if they rang up and
asked any decenet retailer if they were doing it right (using the same
SKU's) - the retailer would laugh at them ...

But that is my opinion and it's free of course. :D

As for the technical issue you outlined below - I've not enough brain
power to attempt to help - so I'll leave it to the brainiacs. :)

Cheers,
Erika
