Yeah I agree Doug.

It's an obvious sort of waste with Celerons - save $50 here lose
performance, but compared to lesser 500-1Ghz machines I imagine there is
an increase. Aside from wasting a few days on a burn in it will be hard
to otherwise prove without input from elsewhere....

The Celerons are what we have on hand.  We got stuck with them as part
of a project.  So its the use it or just lose it sort of thing... So
it's less a matter of whats optimal - all the other servers I run here
for clients and our own projects and typically dual processors or quads
depending on the application and need.
