Sometimes it is hard to sort out the technical and the communication issues.
Given that the SKUs are the same and the color id is different you could
always extract once based on SKU and then again to narrow down the color.
What you need to verify is whether their desired practice is non-standard or
not. You'd find that out easiest by contacting a grocery or a clothing
store.

That is exactly my point as well. I seperated the SKU's from the unique
identifiers (productID, SizeID, ColorID) in the database, and now they want
to make these changes....
