How can they be trying to stay away from the 'comic book' feel when they
are making a movie based on one of the most popular COMIC BOOK
characters?
Who asked them to 'reinvent' The Batman in their own image?

</snip>

They're not 'reinventing' him.  They're remaining loyal to the comic
book.  Batman is -not- near superhuman.  He's just a normal guy like you
or me (well, I never really claimed to be normal).  What makes him a
'hero' is just that.  He pushes himself beyond the limits of what most
humans could or would endure, in order to do what he feels is right (or
what he's compelled to do through guilt...but that's another whole
subject).
