Yeah it was. Too bad they screwed it up by releasing that 2nd series
(The Dark Knight Strikes Again (?)) that totally blew.
As far as the ugly tank looking batmobile...remember that this movie
(IIRC) is supposed to be a 'Year One' type story. The 'sleeker'
batmobile wouldn't have come along until much later in Batman's career.
They might also be trying to distance themselves as much as humanly
possible from the last Joel Schumacher fiasco, which had Robin saying,
"Chicks dig the car". So go the other route and make it a big ugly
looking tank thing :)

Do you mean the Frank Miller series? I think it was called "The Dark
Knight Returns." That was a _damn_ nice graphic novel.
