Nah man...you can cheat all you want with the Xbox!

You can buy either an Action Replay, or a Game Shark for the Xbox.  They
even sell separate products that allow you to download game saves from the
net, and transfer them with a memory card.  I'm not sure if some games block
this, but I've never seen it.  Ninja Gaiden might do it to prevent people
from unfairly gaining access to the XBL Ninja Tournament.

And the (Official) Xbox magazine routinely provides saves on their demo
disks for helping out the time/reflex challenged->

That's the one thing the other consoles have over Xbox. You can use
cheats to complete nearly any game on the Nintendo or the PS2 if you get
stuck. There are no cheats for the Xbox.

There is the Action Replay for the Gamecube and PS2, and the Game Shark
for the PS2 as well. Constantly updated with all the latest titles, and
they actually work as flawlessly as possible.

For the Xbox? Nada. Zip. No cheats. The reason for this? I don't know. I
guess the developers determine that everyone must play the game the way
they the developers intended and that 'cheating' will 'spoil' the
experience for their audience. in other words they pulled a Microsoft
move, where MS knows what's best for you ;-) .

At first I thought that it was because they wanted to protect the Xbox
Live experience, but that doesn't explain why they didn't include cheats
in the games themselves. E.g. if in Ninja Gaiden you had a cheat for a
health boost etc. and using this in a profile prevents you from
uploading your high score or something, then you give the ability for a
less skilled player to complete the game they bought, while still
maintaining the legitimacy of LIVE posted high scores.

But that's one thing I find a bit frustrating about the Xbox. I still
haven't finished Mech Assault because I can't get past one mission. If
this were a PS2 game I would have bought an Action Replay and used an
invulnerability cheat to get me past that one mission, and then continue
playing normally.

I did learn a lesson though, that I will never purchase another Single
Player title that is available on the PC , for the Xbox. I'm not getting
caught plopping down 50US for a game that I might enjoy playing, but
might never finish because I'm just not quick enough with the
buttons/combos.
As you know, there are trainers/included cheat codes for just about
every game produced for the PC.

I know what you mean. I was actually surprised by SSX3. This is another
amazing game, btw. Anyway, I've always enjoyed snowboarding games but
preferred races to tricks. I just don't have the reflexes to do the
tricks... but for some reason, on this game, I can do tricks. Sometimes
really cool tricks. Ok, a lot of time I'm just button mashing and
_kinda_
doing things the right way, but man do I enjoy it.

Also, the soundtrack is very, very sweet, especially the Janes Addiction
track.
