If you get natural peanut butter it won't have any added sugar. Also,
a lot of peanut butters are loaded with trans-fats - which you don't
want no matter how much you want to gain weight. But, natural peanut
butter (ie ground peanuts with maybe some salt) has no trans-fats and
is a "healthy" fat source.
