I agree and that's how the system works.
US is not a democracy it's a republic.

I think has to do with Socrates. Didn't he say
something to the extent that the problem with
democracy is the common citizen doesn't know enough
about politics to choose leader? Got him killed too:)

But based on that principle, if the representatives
that made up the Electoral College thought the people
were to stupid to choose a President they could choose
someone they felt more qualified.

Image if Gore won the Electoral College and Bush was
still appointed. Then he'd have something to be pissed
about.
