Matt,

Good points.  I didn't think about that.  Still, I would like to see a
President that was fiscally conservative by nature.  Policy that isn't
presented to Congress has a 100% rate of failure.  I would rather see Kerry
actually fight for legislation that is sound then devote his time towards a
healthcare plan that is so massive that Congress is forced to kill it.

I don't think either of these men are fiscal conservative.  Even if Kerry
does implement his health care plan that would cost $650B over 9 years that
doesn't mean that he will out spend Bush which is what this thread is
really about.  It is possible that he is able to implement this particular
health care plan and still be able to cut funding to other programs which
would yield a lower cost then Bush's policies.  That written, I know it is
unlikely that Kerry will be able to cut programs like social
security.  Right now, neither of these men are inspiring me with their
fiscal plans.

PS read that the pension insurance program may be insolvent soon.  I'd be
very interested in hearing what President Bush and Senator Kerry have to
say about this.
