Im not sure it has much if any influence on US citizens' votes....as VERY
few people who visit that site will have any clue that they are being let
in, while other users outside the US aren't. We picked up on it because we
are IT people on an international list server.

Your point about positively influencing foreign opinion is a valid one
though.  Personally, I think it's a bad move...but i'm not sure it matters
all that much.
