I think you need to review the centrists comments.
The guy on the left likes the guy in the middle. The guy in the middle prefers to lean right rahter than left when there is no choice for the middle. That doesn't mean anyone who likes the guy in the middle should support his right tendency when only given a choice of left or right. The guy in the middle is liked for being in the middle. He tendency to the right is only if offered a choice of left or right without having the option of being in the middle. If Bush wasn't so far right he would easily when this election. He would still have the support of those on the far right but would also garner more support from those who tend to be in the middle. Problem is Bush is so far right that many people who would support a more moderate Republican are opting for Kerry. Myself included. This is the first time I will be casting my vote for a democrate. Bush's self righteous, extreme right leanings scare the hell out of me.
