How about make it a States' rights issue and get it off of the federal plate? Let the states experiment with abortion programs vs. pregnancy programs. If you stop unwanted pregnancies, you stop abortions. Further, if we deem this a criminal matter what should we do with Mother's that are guilty of abortion? Put them in prison for murder? If we're not going to do that then how do we make it illegal? And if it were illegal, how much would that really stop it? Look at the gun laws.
