Apple Itunes: I just wanted to give everyone a heads up about ITunes. I used it to rip some of my CDs. Ripping it with the Apple Lossless Encoder yields very good digital copies. I'm finding the MP3 encoder to be a bit substandard. At first I thought my CD was just stracthed. But after the 4th CD had problems I decided to try with both formats.
To add to Jim's point, In 1997-1998 I asked several classically trained muscians to listen to mp3s and they could all notice audio loss. They could not notice any quality loss for MiniDisk. I actually decided to go with MiniDisk instead of mp3 because of this. Talk about getting on the wrong boat. -- 2004 - The year $184M couldn't buy a pennant. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:134366 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
