Actually, if you read up and do some research on HOW the states chose these voting machines, and what checks and balances (ok I'll save you some time..there were none) were done on these machines, on whether they were tamper proof etc. you'd be quite worried.
I mentioned on the list before that Bush was assured of a re-election. These machines were part of my reasoning. The state committees chose the machines based entirely on what they were told by the marketing people. It was also blocked from legislation any *requirement* for a paper trail from the machines because they argued that setting up the machines to provide such would cost the tax payers too much money. Do some reasearch, the info is out there. Not guaranteeing you'll like what you find though. Why are the exit polls so wrong in Florida? I think it deserves investigation though given that I've heard the CEO of the company responsible for the software was a Bush campaign donor. Further, the DNC would've had its own pollsters and I'm sure they would've been careful not skew the results. I'd say the data warrants investigation. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:134477 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
