Comcast here in the DC Metro area is pretty good.. I have had the same IP address for almost 4 years! Even when power was out for 6 days, when my equipment came back up the same IP was obtained. Are you hosting our of your house?... Is that why you want a static IP? I was running 2 web servers, a DB server, Exchange 2003, a shoutcast server, an FTP server, and 2 home PCs out of my apartment..... Then I got the electric bill. :-<>
