Well, it is possible the sonic has wireless, it wouldn't be the first fast
food joint to offer wireless internet to their customers, it also wouldn't
be the first time a business installed internet and didn't properly secure
it.

The network name 'linksys' is probably the default for most of that
companies routers, I would say it is probably a neighbor.

Subject: how bizarre

I uh, seem to have a wi-fi hot spot in my bedroom...

I had the laptop on the bed doing some writing and noticed that gee, I am on
the internet.

Yes, I realize there are a lot of puns that could be made about this, and my
rant elsewhere about "sweetie" to the contrary, I'll understand if y'all
find them irresistable.

But once we are done with that, seriously, anyone have any ideas why this
might be? There is nothing remotely resembling an office building anywhere
near here. There *is* a Sonic about a hundred yards away, but somehow I
don't see it as the source. Or the neighbors. This is a Hispanic
small-business sort of neighborhood. What's the range for wi-fi anyway?

Maybe if Michael sees this he may be able to tell me something from his
logs. My wi-fi driver says the network I am connected to is "linksys" which
is the brand of my card.

Dana
