Well same with me, I never really put much stock in the whole Tropical Climate being so much better, although I really don't like the cold. But..the further north you go, especially Europe, the more people see less and less of the sun. Then to those people it becomes a huge deal.
I've never been to Europe, so I can't make a good comparison. I've also never been to the US during cold winter.
