The main computer in our house is a 350 mhz blue-and-white G3 running
Panther with 768 Megs of RAM. It's great - super-stable, and fast
enough for usual tasks - internet apps, pictures, iTunes, etc. Most of
the storage is on the network anyway, in (very fast) Linux boxes, and I
have faster machines (*nix and Windows) that I use for gaming,
programming, servers and video editing, but they're suited for their
tasks, and the Mac is suited for its purpose.

That, and with VNC, I can do 90% of the stuff I need to from the Mac anyway.
