Well..so far the options are a bit expensive. The most reputable AMD machine maker I would think is Alienware. But there are several out there, but they tend to be geared to gamers and enthusiasts, not the main stream.
ACB..err..ABC...Computers...Umm..ACC...ABC...I think its ABC..no..no its ABS! Thats it!! ABS!!! ABSPC>COM!!! :-) I remembered. Yay. *waves little flag in air* Yay! ABS has their home line here http://www.abspc.com/app/familyHome.asp . Actually their Performance PC for 869US is pretty darn good. Anyways, Alienware has the Alienware BOT that is supposed to be for Everyman. Actually right now they have put together some good systems that are shipping for just 600US.Best thing, of course, is to customise your own machine. The Aurora line carries AMD Athlon CPUs. The cheapest is about US$1000.00. When I threw in a 17" LCD and 1 gig of RAM the price shot to US$1,225. -Gel Helping people buy computers for an AMD tomorrow. ^_^ -----Original Message----- From: Raymond Camden [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, November 24, 2004 9:20 AM To: CF-Community Subject: Re: Why buy an Intel chip again? Anyone? Anyone? :) So if Dell doesn't sell PCs with AMD, who does? For those unwilling to build a machine from scratch, what are the options?
