HP/Compaq eMachines ASUS Averatech Velocity Micro (gaming system builder) Voodoo PC Acer Sharp Cyberpower Heck, pretty much any of the boutique builders use AMD. The big players (Dell, Gateway, and Sony) tend to stay with Intel because of 1) buying power that lets them buy Intel product cheaper; 2) Intel has great mindshare; and 3) notebooks. IMO, the Centrino platform and the Pentium M are good not just because of good marketing but because AMD based laptops suck batteries dry like crazy. -Kevin ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:137753 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
