I will not argue about the problems with refined sugars; however a proper
diet and exercise routine can offset these issues.

Many of the illegal drugs are controlled because of the long term effects
that cannot be undone. It is not a case of morality, it is more a case of
expense, we can't afford to let everybody go around and do drugs that can
cause major brain damage and require 24 hour in home treatment by a
professional.

Ah, but sugar in its refined form is a drug. That's what we all use it for,
like it or not. It has potential side effects like obesity and bacterial
overgrowth in the body, blood sugar swings, adrenal fatigue, and it is
addictive - as is caffeine from my experience.
That is interesting though about plaque on the brain, and it would not
surprise me. Every substance has its problems.
