Don't know about the american Medical Insurance, but if any Canadian
get sick in US and hospitalize there, OHIP will cover him there, I
think you have to pay there and OHIP will re-imburse you, something
like that.

I can understand about the security clearance, but how the candidate
gonna get the security clearance if he can't apply for that by
himself? (I assume that it has to be applied by an employer).

Same thing when some canadian hired in US he required TN1 visa in
order to work in US and his TN1 visa is not soponsored by the
employer, Employer just have to give him the hiring letter. So, it
does't make any difference for employer to hire a local candidate or a
"Canadian Candidate" coz employer not gonna sponsor him. He just have
to provide the job letter which they normally do with the local
candidate as well.

But this is a very furustrated part that so many good jobs comes and
YOU just can't apply coz you are living in the neighbour country and
those jobs are restricted to their nationals only.

I mean if we look at the europe, if the job available in Germany. Do
you think that they only put "German National only". I mean you just
can't apply because you are living in Poland or France or Blegium???
I mean what is this????

If the reason is only security clearance if can be done as a Canadian
National as well. as some guy mentioned earlier that some jobs are not
that strict which requires LEVEL X clearance.
