The Taliban have been given nothing, No Negotiations from the off-set is
what Bush said. 
Is it or is it not.

This should have been an example used to spearhead this deepening problem in
the middle east.

A neutral body say the European Courts for Human Rights should have been set
up to gel a judicial procedure between the American gov and the accused. All
evidence should have been forwarded and used in the correct way.  Decisions
made from that judicial procedure would have conveyed who our whom was to
blame for this act of menace.  Decisions would have been clearly made on
what was to follow as a result.  Something I'm sure everyone could have
lived with as it would not have been decided behind closed doors by people
who I am afraid to say are as bad as those being chased.
