I was just watching Ask This Old House and they did a show on Carbon Monoxide Detectors. Seems they are quite a worthwhile investment!
I'm sorry to hear about the home repairs :-/ We have to take a look at the faucets that feed our washer today. One of them appears to be leaking and I see spots on the kitchen ceiling. Our laundry room is upstairs, which is convenient for laundry, but tough to get to in terms of plumbing.
