We are software development company - not a political think tank.
The name of our domain reflects the direction of our company.
The image of Einstein reflects ideology of human thoughts within our
company.
We encourage people to think beyond boundaries - whether self imposed or
not.

Einstein believed what he believed him due in part to his up-bringing,
environment, and social structure which surrounded him during the times.

We don't examine or even agree with Einstein's political ideas - most of
them are mute today anyways.

Instead - we praise the mental capacity he held during his life-time... and
his ability to understand and see things that other people don't full
comprehend - myself included.

Within our walls - you will also find pictures of Abraham Lincoln (and many
other great people) - though we regard him for other reasons.

You are correct in stating Absolute Power Corrupts... everyone knows this
term. It's a common (and old) defense used by people who are concerned about
the loss of civil liberties. It's also generally used by people who don't
fully understand how cruel people can be. Though born as an American
citizen - I was born in a country that had absolute power - and it was
corrupt... I know this first hand. Once again - Absolute Power does Corrupt.

In moving to this country - I found I had freedoms which were unheard
freedoms in my birthplace.

What scares me that some people in my birthplace would love to enter this
country... and make it more likes theirs.

What scares me the most is - there are people in this country who will not
try to stop them.

Allowing checks and balances in our Government is a secure method of
ensuring continued civil liberties in this country.

If you remember basic Government in school - you already know that our
Government is setup this way. (Some people don't know this - that's scary.).

However, this discussion started with the typical rant of losing civil
liberties - by people who appear unwilling to defend our civil liberties.

Absolute Power does Corrupt - Absolutely.

Taking complete control away from our Government - also takes away our
ability to have civil liberties.

Think the process through. Sometimes we have to give a little - to get a
lot.

We have a lot of at stake. We have our way of life at stake.

Are you so unwilling to give a little - when its proven that there are
people out there who don't care about our lives - let alone our freedoms -
or civil liberties.

To them - we are an infection... and they are treating it as such.

You don't pamper an infection - you kill it.

Pierre

The problem is there are actually good things in some of these laws. I just
hope when it does get thrown out Congress will actually do the right thing
and work on a good anti-terror law that does not take away our freedoms.
