Dude.  Just grow the 'stache.  After all, isn't the point of having a 
beard to be lazy about shaving?  :-)

I tried for that, but I just end up looking shaggy.  Also, too much like 
my Dad.  So I keep mine trimmed rather close.  More the sleek look.
