And why is that so relevant but so many other things are not? Should marriages between diabetics and non-diabetics be distinguished differently? Should marriages in which sex does not occur be? Should interracial marriages carry a special label? Financial matters play as large (if not a larger) role socially as sexual matters in marriage and a far, far more important role governmentally (in which sexual matters do not play a role). Should we then have categories based on that as well? Should my marriage be labeled differently because I am the sole income generator yet my wife handles all of the money? Why single out this one, governmentally meaningless, aspect and not others?
