My experience with transit outside Atlanta is minimal, but I really like the
DC Metro.

Of course, I don't think anyone could rank Atlanta's MARTA as anyone's best
transit system.  It's certainly excellent given its constraints, but state
politics have made it kind of a bastard stepchild that doesn't get enough
funding.

That said, I ride MARTA quite a bit and it usually gets me where I need to
go.
