That actually marries up nicely with the process I am picturing.  We have 3 
directory sizes and 4 advertising sizes we want in this system.  That gives me 
12 possible permutations on each ad layout.  I can have the graphic artists 
create the backgrounds and define the text locations.  I then take the text 
entered into a web form and create a PostScript file.  The jpeg and pdf files 
are created from this.

I think I can make this work.  I need to learn the PostScript Language, but I 
think that may do me.
