What I want to know is, if she is kept alive, besides making her parents happy, what can it serve? She can't walk. She can't talk. She can't feed herself. She can't go to the bathroom by herself. She can't sing. She can't pet an animal. She can't go to the store. She can't pilot a wheelchair. She can't vote. She can't do anything except open her eyes and breathe. Does she even know what goes on around her? Unless I'm missing something, this is not a life I would wish on my enemies. I'm seriously missing the point of this whole debacle, and you know what, flame away at me, because I have not read every single email that has flown through here. I might have read 1 or 2. I also haven't read every news article and I know nothing medically about her operating capacity. All I know is the bottom line, which I stated above. Is there another? Why are you guys bashing this to death? I mean I don't care, you guys can discuss whatever you want ... But can you throw another subject in there every now and then so those of us who have no clue might be able to see something else on the list besides "Schiavo this and Schiavo that" ? Erika Who knows this appears really cold and apologizes for it. Who will make sure she has a living will. Who publicly announces for all posterity as long as these servers archive these posts: "Just pull the plugs and the tubes on me if I have no quality of life left and cannot make that decision for myself."
