My biggest issue with all of this is letting her suffer. Either keep the tube
in and let her live or kill her as humanely as possible. A simple injection and
she slips away. But the idea of letting her starve to death slowly dying over
days or weeks is just hideous.

"I got people saying, 'Why are you sticking your nose in this family's
business?' " said Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), who represents a heavily
Catholic district. "The less people know about the issue, the more
opposed they are to what we did. . . . The more they understand, the
more likely they are to agree with us."

What I am thinking is that whether you agree with the law or not, it
is clear the courts are interpreting it to suit thier own view of what
should happen. I am also thinking that this case proves out the saying
that hard cases make bad law. In effect the United States is starving
a woman over the principle of a thing. I am also thinking that perhaps
we are seeing a very fundamental problem with the judiciary
highlighted -- if you get a bad judge as finder of fact then you can
wind up with a decision at odds with the facts, because appeals are
limited to procedural matters.

Pst Larry that link you sent is timing out or something, gettin a 404
