I do the programming work for these companies almost exclusively through 
my client.  His worry is that I'm going to go directly to the companies 
and say, "listen, we don't need this guy in the picture, why don't you 
and I work something out directly..."

To clear up the ambiguities in his document I added in a "definition of 
names" paragraph to explain who the agreement was between and what 
ambiguous terms such as "You" and "me" would be defined as.  I honestly 
don't have an issue with the request, just thought the level of wording 
was sub-par.
