I'd never intentionally hurt an animal I know to be someone's pet, if it just wandered into my yard.The fault is not the animal's , it is the owner's.
If it is a cat, a blast of cold water a few times when it is caught will usually do the trick. The neighbour's cat, whom I don't appreciate, wandered into our apartment. We are fond of another cat in the area that comes to visit, but this one we could do without. So... a glass of water that was handy at the time did the trick. Cat has never been back. But we still have our favorite wittle adopted Bisky wiskey wittle Biscuit cutey wu....0_0 *ahem* Not that I'm getting attached to a pet or anything..HA! Especially not someone ELSE's pet!
