WOW!! Talk about a miserable person. I can't stand those people. The
ones that live in a constant state of misery and the only joy they
receive in life is to make those around them miserable. The best advice
I ever received about dealing with assholes like that is to be nice and
smile to them. They can't stand it because you rob them of their
"power." If that doesn't work, try Ex-Lax cookies. I did that to my
Platoon Sergeant when I was in the Army...He was a real prick. I'll get
the recipe from my wife. I think she calls them Colon Blow cookies.

  Subject: Grrrr... MANAGEMENT!!!

  Hey all:

You know... It's only 9:30 in the morning and I'm already aggravated.
Right now, as it stands, my two biggest priorities are to fix some
issues with our e-commerce system and to develop a contest form
complete
  with reporting capabilities by Friday.

My good ol' boss decides it's more important to figure out why the
word
"Travel" is appearing in one of the web pages instead of the word
"Hot".

Stop the presses! It reads "TRAVEL", not "HOT"!!! CALL IN THE
NATIONAL
  GUARD!

Then, he sends me emails asking questions which require one word
answers. He sits right next to me... He also instant messages me to
ask
  questions too.

Uh, dude... You *can* ask me out loud. Wouldn't hurt to get up and
walk
over either. Hey, as a matter of fact, if you asked me to get up and
walk six feet to your desk, I would!

And yesterday, when I found a new problem with our commerce system I
got
kind of down about it because it gets frustrating. The day before
(Monday) I was in a good mood having improved site performance. He
comes to me and says "Funny... The irony of your attitude today and
yesterday. Maybe you shouldn't be so thrilled about the things you
  fix."

The best was when my wife and I were at a dinner party with some
coworkers and we were talking about our daughter with someone else.
He
butts in and comments "There are more important things in life than
your
  children." WTF?!

I don't know... Maybe he's pissed at me because of reorganization in
the
company and the sole web developer/DBA/Network Admin (uhh... me) no
  longer reports to him.

Arggg... I just got back from a week off and now I need another
  vacation.

Thanks for letting me vent. I can't wait to get to Karate class
  tonight.
