Is that why Palestinians purposefully kill innocents? How about attacking soldiers or Israeli Miltary sites?
Is that why they continually refuse all peace deals and agreements put forward, even as a start? Is that why they support the terrorist groups within Palestine? Is this all explained away under "Fighting for the right to exist"? I don't agree with the hardline response by Israelis in the past...but I have a hard time trying to justify what happened over the weekend, and saying that the Israelis are wrong now for retaliating in the way they are. What happened this weekend went beyond some mad suicide bomber blowing themselves up at random. It was a co-ordinated attack on innocent civilians, and at a time when the Palestinians were doing little to nothing to arrest and HOLD terrorists, after continuous prompting by the International Community, and posturing by Arafat that he was doing something. I mean..it was just terrible. Living under occupation may be terrible, and it may be akin to slavery...but isn't one of the greatest impediments and fears to forming a Palestinian state, the lack of security and danger this would pose to Israel? And don't all these terrorist attacks just reinforce this viewpoint? One could say the same for Israel's retaliation in the past, but you can't deny the impact that the suicide bombing, the sniping etc. has had on the situation. You can't say, well we're sorry the people died..BUT..Israel looked for that..and pretend to be truly sorry. I'm telling you if military compounds were hit, if these bombings by Palestinians were targeted at military targets I would see them completely differently....but they aren't.
