The 67 armistice line was never a border, it was a line at the end of 
fighting and there is no resolution that says it is to be a border. Even the 
UN resolution saying that Israel has to give back land says they can keep 
some of it for security reasons.
The original 2 state plan was the creation of Israel where all the Arab 
neighbors attack. Again and again and again. The problem is that Israel is 
compromising at every turn and the Palestinians just don't seem to want to 
at all. Even with this withdrawal, the rhetoric coming from the Palestinians 
is that Jerusalem is next and that's a total deal breaker.
