This is where I disagree: on the day of  9/11 Mr. Bush looks like a
total dufus.  After hearing the country is under attack he just sits
there like an idiot reading an upside down book.  This is a character
revealing moment: he's told the country is under attack and he
literally has no idea what to do except sit there.

After he snapped out of it and decided to do something he did all
right.  And later, when visiting ground zero he was fantastic.  But so
what?  Most politicians given time and coaching can be good in those
times.

It's the character revealing moment that counts, and for him it was
caught on film.  That totally flummoxed look will be part of his
legacy.
