well, what are you going to do with some little old lady who has run out of 
money? You need to have some sort of provision. But if you put an income 
limit on social security recipients -- any limit at all -- you save some 
money. Those that were able to save and have sufficient means should not 
rely on a government check. As matters stand, Bill Gates is going to draw 
social security. Is that right, or a good use of the power of taxation? Some 
of the people who wound up in the Convention Center this week are paying 
social security so people with many times their income can draw a check that 
they don't need. 
 I think that private accounts are a great idea. I just don't want W to have 
anything to do with mine. And you have to make some plan for those poor saps 
who invest in Enron or the like.
