Without regulation and standards, I think you run the risk of funding
a school that could promote hate or other values that don't jibe well
with the general populace.  Do we allow public funds to be used at a
white supremacists school then?  I don't see how you make the jump
from a "funded k-12 education" to vouchers to a school of their
choosing.  Now, if the government didn't have public schools, I guess
you'd have to say vouchers would be needed.  But the government does
provide a funded k-12 education in the form of a public school.
