Doug Thompson of Capitol Hill Blue has a very strong rep. His sources are usually dead on, much better than Drudge, and he isn't highly partisan, he goes after both sides. I don't always agree with him, but I always read him, and I have since the very beginning of the WWW, when his news site was one of the few that existed. Of course, I'm aware that the very fact that I speak highly of Doug will damn him in the eyes of several people here, since my hatred for the Shrub is so evident. I watched closely while the Nixon White House imploded, and I'm getting very similar vibes now. I just hope the final crash doesn't happen during or because of a fly pandemic, because if it does, we're going to be in some very deep doo-doo. Hopefully, there is at least a few people in charge there who are competent to lead in a crisis. But I'm danged if I can figure out who they are.
