Skip the SUV... get a minivan instead... easier to get the kiddos in and out of and gets somewhat better gas mileage than a typical SUV.

They cause bottlenecks for the same reason. But, the truth is, there's no accounting for taste and they only exist because people buy them. If people like them, well, they do.
