I am saying that until Bush the Lesser the National Guard was
mobilized for floods, fires, and other natural disasters at home.
Although the people I knew (former bosses) were career, it was
definitely marketed as a career choice that was

1) part-time
2) something that would help the local community

Neither of which is true in the Guard's current incarnation. So
although the guys over there are volunteers and definitely signed the
paper I have more sympathy for them than I do for silly little Jenna
Bush, a waste of air as best I can see,

Dana
